Scenarios automate communications based on contact behaviour, your catalogue or your marketing calendar. Start with a foundation that matches the data actually available in your store, then expand it progressively.
Scenarios to consider first
- Customer registration: welcomes a contact when they create an account in your store.
- Abandoned cart: follows up after a cart is abandoned when your CMS provides that data.
- New products or Promotions: highlights new or discounted products detected in your catalogue.
- Calendar event: prepares a campaign for an event that matters to your brand, with dates and emails to configure.
- Customer birthday: use only when your customer data contains usable birth dates. Without this data, birthday emails cannot be sent.
Activate a scenario
- Open Scenarios and choose one that matches your objective.
- Read its prerequisites and check that the required data is available.
- Review every email: sender, content, links, products and any promotional code.
- Configure the required options and dates. For a calendar event, no send date can be in the past and all required emails must be created.
- Click Activate, then check the status displayed in the scenario list.
Before the first send
- Wait for the initial store synchronisation to complete.
- Review the audience and exclusion rules.
- Check the rendering on desktop and mobile.
- For scheduled campaigns, review the send sequence in the timeline.
No single combination suits every store. If a prerequisite remains blocked or expected data is missing, use the Submit a request form and include the scenario name and displayed message.
