➕ This workflow offers complementary products to customers who recently purchased on your website, it allows you to encourage your customer to make a new purchase while improving their experience with your brand.
What is a "complementary" product ?
Two products (P1, P2) are considered complementary if P2 is purchased after P1, and the time between the purchase of P1 and P2 is less than 60 days. We calculate the frequency with which complementary products are purchased. For example, the frequency of (P1, P2) = 5, frequency (P1, P9) = 4, frequency (P1, P13) = 10. Finally, top complementary products are recommended.
So for cross-selling, the 3 products that complement the product purchased 14 days ago and have the highest frequency are recommended.
🔎 Note that you have a 60% chance of selling to existing customers** versus 5% for new customers.
